Executive Action on Immigration

USCIS expects about 90 days for implementation of the new DACA terms, six months for Deferred Action for Parents, and perhaps even longer for the additional actions signed today. A summary of the basic DACA requirements: born prior to June 15, 1981 (removing the former upper age restriction); meeting all other former DACA guidelines; continuously present in the US since January 1, 2010 (versus the prior June 15, 2007 requirement). Also extends authorization to three years (from previous two year authorization). Deferred Action for Parents will be a similar program for qualifying parents of USC or LPRs. http://www.uscis.gov/immigrationaction
